24-hour visa free transit
China implements a 24-hour visa free transit policy for citizens of all countries around the world at all its open ports to the outside world.
Foreigners holding connecting tickets with reserved seats and taking international aircraft, ships, or trains passing through China to third countries or regions shall stay within China for no more than 24 hours

If leaving the port of entry, need to apply for a temporary entry permit should be made to the border inspection authority at the port of entry and exit.
72/144-hour visa free transit
18 provinces, 23 cities, and 31 ports have implemented a 72/144 hour visa free transit policy for personnel from 54 countries, countries as following,

South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, UAE, Qatar
Operations as following,

Transit from China to a third country (region) with a valid international travel document and a connecting ticket with a specified date and seat within a limited time
02
Then submit applications for visa free transit to the border inspection authorities at ports of entry and exit in cities implementing the visa free transit policy in China
The entry and exit border inspection authorities will handle temporary entry procedures for you, and the visa free stay time will be calculated from midnight on the day after entry.
